Tip – if you have older style toilets with single flush, fit a hippo. #oneworldchange
Whilst water is a relatively abundant resource, it needs conserving and represents a cost to all businesses. A lot of the water used in offices is to flush toilets.
Building regulations mean that modern toilets have smaller flush capacities and dual flush settings. However, older toilets have larger cisterns and no half-flush capability. These cisterns use up to double the amount of water.
Installing a water hippo (essentially a water displacement device that fools the cistern into thinking that it is full when, it actually contains 2 to 3 litres less) can save huge amounts of water.
Many water companies provide water hippos for free.
